Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By creating an account, using the share CLI, the website, the API, or any Share2Us service (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy, the Privacy Policy, and the DMCA/Copyright Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

Share2Us lets you upload files or text and receive secure, revocable, expiring links to share them. Every share has an expiry and can be revoked. We may add, change, or remove features at any time.

3. Accounts

• You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure.
• You are responsible for all activity under your account and API/CLI credentials.
• Sign-in is provided via Google SSO (with additional identity providers planned).
• You must be legally capable of entering a contract in your jurisdiction and meet the minimum age below.

4. Plans, quotas, and billing

• The Free tier is provided at no cost, subject to quotas.
• Paid plans are billed in US dollars through our merchant-of-record payment provider, who is the seller of record for paid transactions.
• Quotas are defined per plan and may change with notice.
• We may enforce global and per-account limits, throttle, or suspend operations to protect the Service.

5. Your content

• You retain ownership of content you upload.
• You grant us a limited licence to store, process, scan, transmit, and serve your content solely to operate the Service.
• You are solely responsible for your content and for having the rights to share it.
• We do not proactively monitor content, but reserve the right to scan, validate, and moderate it where necessary for security, integrity, and legal compliance. We do not proactively scan for CSAM; prohibited material is acted on when reported and, in the case of CSAM, reported to the appropriate authorities as required by law.

6. Prohibited use

You must comply with the Acceptable Use Policy. Prohibited content and conduct include illegal material, malware, CSAM, infringing content, and abuse of the Service. We may remove content, revoke shares, suspend accounts, and report unlawful content to authorities.

7. Expiry, revocation, and deletion

• Shares become inaccessible at expiry or on revocation.
• Physical deletion of stored objects happens on a later, best-effort schedule.
• Backups are retained per our documented backup policy and purged in due course.
• We do not guarantee an exact permanent-deletion time.

8. Availability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation and may perform maintenance.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties and are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data. Our aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 50 if you paid nothing.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Share2Us against claims arising from your content or your breach of these Terms.

11. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access for violations, legal reasons, or risk to the Service, with or without notice where appropriate. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.

12. Age

The Service is not directed to children. You must be at least 16, or the minimum digital-consent age in your jurisdiction, to use it.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified via the Service or email. Continued use after changes means acceptance.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of jurisdiction to be set with counsel, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
