FAQ

What is Share2Us?

Share2Us lets you upload a file or text from your terminal and get a secure, revocable, expiring link. Run share ./file and share the link.

Is it free?

Yes. There is a free tier for individuals. Paid plans add larger files, more storage, longer retention, and extra features. Paid plans are billed in US dollars.

Do my links expire?

Always. Every share has an expiry, and you can revoke any share instantly from the CLI, the portal, or the terminal dashboard.

Is my content private?

Storage is private. Files are served only through an authorization gateway using short-lived links; we never expose storage paths. Text shares are encrypted at rest. Downloads are always served as attachments and never rendered as active content.

What can't I share?

No illegal content, malware, CSAM, infringing material, or abuse of the service. See the Acceptable Use Policy.

How big can files be?

  • Free: up to 10 MB, text and zip.
  • Pro (coming soon): up to 500 MB, text, zip, and binaries.
  • Max (coming soon): up to 10 GB, nearly all file types.

Can AI agents upload for me?

Yes, via the local MCP bridge, but never silently. Agents must preview the file path, size, and hash, and you must confirm before anything is uploaded.

How do I report abuse or copyright infringement?

Use the "Report abuse" link on any share page, or email support@share2.us. For copyright, see the DMCA Policy.

How do I get support?

Email support@share2.us. You will receive a confirmation that a ticket has been opened; reply to acknowledge and we will continue on that thread.

How do I delete my data?

You can revoke shares any time and delete your account from the portal. See the Privacy Policy for details on retention and your GDPR rights.
